The Brașov Christmas Market opens its doors from November 27, 2026, to January 1, 2027, turning the historic city center into a bright festive hub. Council Square (Piața Sfatului) forms the heart of the winter celebrations, featuring a tall Christmas tree and wooden chalets decorated with holiday lights.
Visitors can explore stalls filled with local crafts, handmade decorations, wooden or ceramic gifts, as well as traditional seasonal foods. From hot pastries, gingerbread, and regional cheeses to mulled wine with cinnamon and aromatic teas, the market offers plenty of holiday treats.
The festive atmosphere is enhanced by holiday lights along the surrounding pedestrian streets and the scenic mountain backdrop of Mount Tâmpa. It is an ideal spot for evening strolls with family and friends.
