Târgu Ocna Salt Mine is one of Romania's oldest and most important salt mines, located approximately 240 meters underground in Bacău County. Famous both for salt extraction and the therapeutic benefits of its unique microclimate, it is home to the country's largest underground respiratory treatment center.
