About this place

Slănic Prahova Salt Mine, also known as the Unirea Mine, is one of the largest salt mines in Europe and a landmark attraction in Prahova County. Located more than 200 meters underground, the site is impressive for its massive chambers, particularly the Genesis Hall, and its microclimate famous for therapeutic benefits.
