The Gate of the Kiss is one of the most important works by Romanian sculptor Constantin Brâncuși and forms part of the Monumental Ensemble in Târgu Jiu, together with the Table of Silence and the Endless Column. Created in 1938 from travertine stone, the gate consists of two massive pillars connected by a lintel decorated with the symbol of the kiss, represented by pairs of simplified human figures. The work is regarded as a symbol of love, unity, and the passage between two worlds.
