Union Square is the historic heart of Brașov's Șchei district and one of the city's oldest public squares. Formerly known as Prund Square, it served for centuries as the center of Brașov's Romanian community. Surrounded by historic buildings and landmarks, the square is located just steps away from Saint Nicholas Church and the First Romanian School Museum, two of Romania's most significant cultural attractions. Following its renovation completed in 2011, the square became a modern pedestrian-friendly space while preserving its historical character.
