The Ethnography and Folk Art Museum in Câmpulung is housed in the Gică Ștefănescu House, one of the oldest civil buildings in the city, constructed at the beginning of the 18th century. The building preserves traditional Muscel architecture, featuring a generous porch and carved wooden decorative elements that immediately catch the eye.
The permanent exhibition features a valuable collection dedicated to the cultural heritage of the Muscel region. Displayed items include exceptional folk costumes, interior textiles, traditional ceramics, wooden household objects, and tools specific to local crafts.
A visit here offers an authentic glimpse into rural Muscel life and the skill of local artisans. The carefully arranged interior restores the atmosphere of a historic town estate, combining elegance with traditional folk heritage.
