The ASTRA Museum is Romania's largest open-air museum and one of Europe's leading ethnographic museums. Located within the Dumbrava Sibiului Nature Reserve, about 4 km from Sibiu's city center, the museum covers more than 96 hectares and features over 350 traditional buildings, including authentic houses, wooden churches, watermills, windmills, workshops, and farmsteads relocated from all regions of Romania. Visitors can experience traditional Romanian village life in a beautiful natural setting of forests and lakes.
