The Table of Silence is one of the most famous works by Romanian sculptor Constantin Brâncuși and forms part of the celebrated monumental ensemble in Târgu Jiu, together with the Gate of the Kiss and the Endless Column. Created in 1937, the work consists of a circular stone table surrounded by 12 hourglass-shaped chairs arranged in a composition rich in symbolic meaning. Located in Târgu Jiu's Central Park, the monument is one of the most important examples of modern sculpture in Romania.
