Prislop Monastery is one of the most important and visited pilgrimage sites in Romania, located in a quiet natural setting in Hunedoara County. Founded in the 14th century by Saint Nicodemus of Tismana and later restored by Princess Zamfira, the monastery holds significant historical and spiritual value.
The site is closely connected to Father Arsenie Boca, whose teachings and burial place attract numerous visitors every year. Beside the historical church, the complex includes the Cave of Saint John of Prislop, a secluded space carved into the rock ideal for quiet reflection.
