The Ascension of the Lord Monastery in Muntele Rece is an Orthodox monastery set in the peaceful mountain landscape of Măguri-Răcătău Commune, Cluj County. Built near the Heroes' Cemetery, it was founded to honor the soldiers who lost their lives during the 1944 battles for the liberation of Transylvania. The traditional Romanian-style church offers a serene atmosphere and beautiful panoramic views of the Apuseni Mountains.
