About this place

The Princely Inn in Suceava is the oldest secular building preserved in the city, dating back to the late 16th century. Over time, the building served as a princely inn, a hunting lodge for nobles, and an administrative site, retaining its medieval architectural charm with thick stone walls and vaulted cellars.

Today, the building houses the Ethnographic Museum, displaying a valuable collection dedicated to the traditions and crafts of Bukovina. The exhibits include traditional costumes, textiles, ceramics, carved woodwork, and objects used in historical rural households.

A visit to the inn offers an authentic glimpse into medieval and rural life in the Suceava region, making it an excellent stop for history and folklore enthusiasts.
