The Ancient Oak of Mercheașa, also known as “The Old Man of the Carpathians”, is one of the oldest and most impressive trees in Romania, located near the village of Mercheașa in Brașov County. Estimated to be around 900 years old, with a circumference of 9.3 meters and a height of over 21 meters, this ancient tree is a remarkable symbol of nature and living history in Transylvania.
