The Costinești Shipwreck is one of the best-known symbols of the Romanian seaside and an iconic landmark of Costinești resort. The commercial ship Evanghelia, built in 1942, ran aground near the shore in 1968 and has remained part of the resort's landscape ever since. The ship's weathered silhouette rising from the sea creates a spectacular setting for photography and has become one of the defining images of the Costinești coast.

Epava poate fi admirată cel mai ușor de pe plaja din Costinești, în special la răsărit sau apus, când lumina creează cadre spectaculoase. Nu este recomandată apropierea de epavă sau urcarea pe navă, deoarece structura este degradată și poate fi periculoasă. În sezonul estival, zona din jurul epavei este una dintre cele mai fotografiate porțiuni ale stațiunii.
