Șiria Fortress is an impressive medieval fortification located on Fortress Hill near Șiria, in Arad County. Built in the 13th century, the fortress played an important strategic role due to its dominant position overlooking the Mureș Valley and the surrounding area. Today, mainly the defensive walls and remains of the towers survive, but its hilltop location offers spectacular panoramic views over the vineyards and countryside of western Romania.
