Nopcsa Castle, located in the village of Săcel, Hunedoara County, is an elegant Baroque noble residence surrounded by the rolling hills of the Hațeg Country. The castle is best known for its connection to Baron Franz Nopcsa, one of the pioneers of modern paleontology, often called the "father of Transylvanian dinosaurs."
