Huniade Castle is the oldest historic monument in Timișoara and one of the most important medieval castles in western Romania. Originally built in the early 14th century and later rebuilt by John Hunyadi, the castle has served as a royal residence, fortress, and administrative center throughout its history. Today, it is the home of the National Museum of Banat and remains one of the city's most iconic landmarks.
